まわす【回す】

1 〔輪を描くようにする〕 whirl; gyrate; 〔回転させる〕 spin; rotate; turn; (稼働させる) operate.

●腕を大きく回す whirl one's arms in great circles

・首を左右に回す twist one's head left and right

・ラジオのダイヤルを回す turn the dial of a radio

・取っ手を回す turn the knob

・換気扇を回す turn on the ventilator

・モーターを回す start up the motor.

2 〔順送りにする〕 send around; circulate.
